Al-Humazah

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ ١

Woe to everyone who slanders (face to face) and finds fault (in absence)!

الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ ٢

(Woe to him) who accumulates wealth and keeps counting it!

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ ٣

He thinks that his riches will keep him alive forever.

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ ٤

By no means! He will certainly be cast into al-Hutama (the crushing up Fire).

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ٥

And what will make you understand what al-Hutama (the crushing up Fire) is?

نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ ٦

(It) is a Fire kindled by Allah.

الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ ٧

That will rise over the hearts (with its torture).

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ٨

Indeed, that (Fire) will be closed upon them all around,

فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ ٩

In towering columns (of fierce flames and they will not find any way to escape).
