A faith that speaks to the mind and the heart
At the heart of Islam are beliefs about God, human life, guidance, and what comes after death. These beliefs form the foundation of how Muslims see the world and their place within it. Six beliefs form the foundation of Islam, and for many they feel like coming home.
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, as did the believers. They all have believed in Allah, His angels, His scriptures, and His messengers: “We do not differentiate between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord. To you is the destiny.”
ءَامَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

The heart of Islam begins with a simple and powerful truth: there is only one God worthy of worship. He alone created the heavens and the earth, created you with purpose, and knows every part of your life better than anyone else ever could.
"Your God is One God. There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate."
وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ ١٦٣
A faith that resonates
The core beliefs of Islam speak to questions that people have asked throughout history: Who created us? Why are we here? Does life have meaning beyond what we can see? Islam answers these questions through belief in one God, revelation, prophethood, accountability, and divine wisdom. For many people, these beliefs do not feel distant or abstract, but clear, grounded, and deeply connected to both reason and the human heart.
يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ١٦
"By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path."
