فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ ٣٤

So the punishments that came upon them were due to the acts that they had perpetrated, and the same (chastisement) they used to make fun of engulfed them. (16:34)
