قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ ٢٦
Qala fainnaha muharramatun AAalayhim arbaAAeena sanatan yateehoona fee alardi fala tasa AAala alqawmi alfasiqeena

(The Lord) said: ‘So this (land) is forbidden to these (rebels) for forty years. (Anguished,) they will continue wandering around the earth in distraction. So grieve not, (O Musa [Moses],) over the (warning plight) of these disobedient and unruly people.’ (5:26)
