وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ ٤٨
Wakaayyin min qaryatin amlaytu laha wahiya thalimatun thumma akhathtuha wailayya almaseeru

And how many a town I gave respite whilst it was given to wrongdoing and then I seized it (with torment)! And to Me (everyone) has to return. (22:48)
