111:1

تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ ١

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.

111:2

مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ ٢

His wealth and gains will not exempt him.

111:3

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ٣

He will be plunged in flaming Fire,

111:4

وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ ٤

And his wife, the wood-carrier,

111:5

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ ٥

Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre.
